Terminal Guide To Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

Phoenix is more than an oasis in the desert; it's also a hub of industry. Some of the largest business interests in the capital of Arizona include aerospace, renewable energy and advanced manufacturing. If you take a business trip through Phoenix in the summer months when the temperatures soar, you may prefer to spend your layover in the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) indoors. Fortunately, all three terminals in the airport offer amenities for business travelers, so it's easy to remain productive before you're in the air.

PHX has services like free WiFi available throughout all terminals, and each individual terminal has its own amenities. If you want to stay active before a long flight, you can walk the FitPHX trail; this path leads to all seven corners of the airport concourses. Along the way, you can look outside and view things like downtown skyline and Camelback Mountain.

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is relatively small, making it possible to dial into a conference call or finish some emails without the noise of massive crowds. Airlines that operate out of Terminal 2 include United, Sun Country and Alaska Airlines. If you find yourself in this terminal after a meeting in Phoenix, you can enjoy:

The United Club near Gate 7, where first class passengers can enjoy a spacious seating area and wine and spirits service

OHSO Brewery and Distillery, which features a full menu that makes it easy to refuel after a day of meetings

A shoe shine station for getting your dress shoes spiffy while you wait for your plane to board

Terminal 3

Terminal 3 is the most recently renovated terminal in PHX, so if your business travels take you through this part of the concourse, you can expect modern finishes and updated facilities. It is also a bit smaller than Terminal 2, so navigating to your gate from security is a breeze. As a passenger traversing through Terminal 3, you can expect to be greeted by:

Camelback 1881 coffee, where you can get the caffeine fix you need to complete your presentation.

A Farmer's Market shop that sells sandwiches and other quick eats to refuel before you hop on your flight.

Museum exhibits, including painting depicting local stories that give you a place to take your mind away from work for a few minutes.

Terminal 4

Terminal 4 is the largest and busiest terminal at Sky Harbor International Airport, which means it also enjoys the spoils of many amenities. American Airlines uses the lion's share of gates here, but you may also find yourself in Terminal 4 if you are flying with Air Canada or British Airways. As a business traveler, you will appreciate:

The American Airlines Admirals Club and British Airways Lounge for business class passengers, as well as the The Club at PHX for all passengers, where you can relax.

More than a dozen shops -- including the PGA Tour Shop, where you can grab a new polo in case your client meeting leads to playing 18 holes while you're in town.

A Starbucks location with your favorite Seattle beans to keep you awake long enough to go through your emails.

All three terminals at PHX offer ground transportation near the baggage claim areas. Options include private cars, limo service and rideshare app pick-up areas.
