There’s no way around it: when you’re a business traveler, having a layover between flights can be boring. Luckily, however, with a little research about the amenities within the airport – or in the town nearby – you can pack your layover with entertainment, so your stopover is just as engaging as your ultimate destination.

Here are some ways you can enjoy a layover at Boston Logan International Airport.

If your BOS airport layover is only a couple of hours, it’s smartest to stay in the airport. Luckily, BOS offers a range of dining and amenity options to make business travel enjoyable and convenient. You can easily get between any of the Boston airport’s terminals by walking or taking the complimentary shuttle bus.

There’s a range of dining options inside BOS, including several outposts of Boston’s famous Legal Sea Foods restaurants. You can find them in terminal A, terminal B and terminal C. Other standouts include Todd English’s Bonfire, which features International fare, or Stephanie’s, which offers classic pub fare.

During a BOS Layover, you can take advantage of in-airport amenities like the Xpress Spa (Terminal B) or the Jet Setter Mini Spa and Classique Nail Salon (Terminal C). If you’re traveling for business, there is free Wi-Fi throughout each terminal as well as charging stations built into seat areas at the gate. For some peace and quiet, get a pass to one of the exclusive airline lounges, including the United Club Lounge, the US Airways Club Lounge and the Air France Graf Lounge

This is my favorite way of enjoying an afternoon like yesterday, with a good ‘Adult Beverage’, one usually does it, two if the day was a bit hectic… then something good to eat or nimble on, AND a spectacular view (this is a must) to plane spot until your heart’s content!IMHO, it really doesn’t get any better than this on such a beautiful day and makes it totally worth it, every time, the arriving early at the airport so as to have a good hedonistic time! #trip #B737 #happy #cool #instaplane #lounge #igtravel #travel #travelpics #scenery #boston #airplane #instapic #aviation #amazing #love #traveltheworld #avgeek #airport #LoveFlying #united #aviationlover #landscape #viagem #mytravelpics #planespotter #planespotting #instagramaviation # #picoftheday #UpsideOK

* Near the Airport *

If your layover is three hours or more, you have time to leave the airport and get a little taste of what Boston has to offer. To get into the city as quickly as possible, take a taxi from one of the taxi stands.

Flying again. #travel

You can leave the airport and get a delicious bite to eat nearby in East Boston during your BOS layover. Rincon Limeno is one of the most popular destinations nearby, serving up Peruvian food and tapas.

If you only have a few hours to explore, consider sticking in the immediate vicinity of the airport. You can get a taste of the New England outdoors by heading to nearby Revere Beach, America’s first public beach, or visit the New England Aquarium, which is directly off of the Blue Line.
