This month on All Things Upside, we're chatting with Kate Naranjo, a Strategic Account Manager on Upside's Retailer Go-To-Market team.
Q: What do you love most about your team?
We have a fantastic group on the Strategic Accounts team. I know I can always give a team member a call and they will be more than happy to brainstorm with me, help troubleshoot, or give me honest feedback on an upcoming deliverable. I’m often inspired by my team members and driven to constantly keep upleveling my work to keep pace.
Q: What advice would you give to someone starting in your field of work?
It’s just as important to find out where your weaknesses lie as it is to discover your strengths. So, find a good mentor — be aware of and refine the skills in your weak spots, but prioritize sharpening your strengths. That is how you will carve out a path for yourself and your career.
Q: What do you think makes you unique as a team member?
I’m a new mom. This comes with a unique set of constraints and challenges, but also a renewed purpose for the value of the work I’m doing. We have quite a few (more seasoned!) parents on the team, and I’m always grateful for their support and tips for raising an infant.

I love Thai food – the spicier the better!
