The Upside team has been hard at work delivering impactful results for both retailers and consumers. For retailers, we revamped our Dashboard to make it more intuitive, enabling both big-picture and ultra-granular analysis to optimize performance and drive growth. Meanwhile, we continued advancing our vision for Upside Pay, a popular new experience that allows Upside users to choose how they earn cash back. This new experience delivers immediate cash back to app users; the subsequent increase in user engagement and retention provide retailers with the opportunity to earn more incremental profit.
Together, these product improvements and the expansion of our marketplace made 2024 our best year yet. Because of Upside, our retail partners earned $605 million in incremental profit and welcomed 17 million first-time visitors. Consumers also reaped the benefits of these efforts, with Upside’s offers now reaching 35 million consumers and delivering $245 million in cash back in 2024.
Beyond the financial impact, our shared participation is helping the planet. Through our 1% pledge, we’ve rescued 3.3 million pounds of food from the landfill and offset 4.2 million tons of carbon dioxide.
We’re deeply thankful to our retail partners and app users who make this work worth pursuing, and we’re energized to continue this trajectory. 2024 was a banner year, but we’re already feeling inspired to build in 2025.
